How to Run a UK Business Search (Unincorporated Entities)

SmartSearch Dashboard:

  1. Select business type:

 


2. Enter an optional search reference


This is an optional field for your own internal reference.


3. Input the business details


Fill in all mandatory boxes that are marked with an asterisk. The type of company you are searching for will affect the kind of details you will need to

provide.



Depending on the entity type you are searching for you may get the option to add information for an individual AML check. This includes a name and address and other optional fields such as

bank account or driving licence details. Please refer to our "How To...Run a UK Individual search" guide for additional information on this.



4. For certain entities such as Partnerships there are additional fields that can be filled out e.g., beneficial ownership


5. Select the company you wish to run a check on



6. An overview of basic information your chosen company will be displayed as well as AML information for any individual you have input

 


Multiple tabs are available on the page displaying information such as company structure, corporate information, and a financial summary. Companies showing corporate structure will also display the option to check the UBO (Ultimate Beneficial Owner). If you would like this service enabled on your account, please contact your Customer Success Manager.

 

7. Due Diligence results will be shown on the left-hand tab on the screen and at the bottom of the webpage



8. Once all checks are complete and any due diligence is actioned a full report is available to download

 

  

This report will include all PEP/SAN checks that have taken place as well as the due diligence information and all information.
