Matters generally cannot be deleted, even when opened in error.
If no work has been completed at all, they should be archived as below. If work has been done, you will need to follow the Archiving Procedure which can be found in the Office Manual on your desktop.
1. Open Matter Properties
2. Click the Archive icon
3. In "Archive Details" set the destroy date as today and set the storage location as "OPENED IN ERROR"
The only exception where matters will be deleted is when a new client and new matter has been created in error and it is the first matter for the client and no work has been done at all. In those circumstances, please log a support request and include the client's barcode.
