If you need to screenshot the whole screen, you can press the button on your keyboard called "Print Screen" or "Prt Sc", or similar, and then paste it into another program
As most of us work on two screens, this will default to screenshotting both screens and will make fonts unreadable. The Snipping Tool is much more useful.
1. Click on Start Menu
2. Start typing "Snipping Tool"
3. When you see the icon below, click on it
4. You'll see the following window. Click New
5. Your screen will then have a grey tint over it and you'll get a + icon as your mouse cursor. Click and drag around the area you need to screenshot/snip. Let go when you have the area you want to screenshot. You can then save your snip
