How do I add a category in my calendar/diary?

When creating a new calendar/diary entry you can colour categorise them for ease of managing/viewing your diary.


For example:-Client appointmentsYellow

TrainingBlue

Admin DayRed

Telephone appointmentsGreen

DeadlinesOrange

Chase client remindersPurple

Out of the OfficeLight Blue


Adding a Category


Open your calendar/diary and create a new appointment.  



In the new appointment screen select "Categorize/All Categories" from the toolbar.



Here you can create as many categories as you like and also assign a shortcut key.


Select which category you wish to use and it will add it to the appointment as illustrated below (I have used yellow and the word "Need to Sort" in this example)



Once you click the "Save and Close" icon your diary will look similar to the following:-
