How do I create a pop up box?

Modified on Fri, 5 Jan, 2024 at 3:01 PM

Popup Notes on files are used to draw your attention to important reminders for that specific file.  You can set these notes to show only on 1 matter/all matters/the entity itself.

For example:-

  • Reminders for updating the Matter Progress Screen
  • Client is away on holiday returning on "date"
  • Only email the Client do not send by post

Creating a Popup Note

When you are in a matter from the top toolbar make sure the "Case" Tab is selected and then click on the icon for "Insert a Freestyle Step" (green arrow) or using the shortcut from your keyboard Alt+F.

The following screen appears for you to complete your relevant details

In the description, put a brief description (this will appear in the case history).

Give further details in the Notes section. Whatever you put in the Notes section will pop up whenever the file is viewed.

You can add a due date if applicable.

Please see illustrations below of how this note would appear in the history and whenever the file is viewed.

Viewing the note from the history of the file

Viewing the note when accessing the file

From the "Home" tab select "Entity/Matter Profile".

As soon as you enter the barcode you added the note to, your note will popup in front of all other windows making you aware of the same.
